Classmate Blog Critique

Blog critiques are one of my favorite things about creative writing. They allow you to receive compliments along with good advice from your fellow peers that encourage you to be the best writer you could possibly be. Through these classes, I always enjoy listening to my peer's blogs and writing assignments because everyone has their own style. It is interesting to see how each individual makes their writing unique and it allows you to see how passionate your classmates are about their topics. I thoroughly enjoy the information I learn every day from everyone around me and seeing what new things we can discover as a whole.

Starting off I am going to be talking about Taylor Rich. I think it is safe to say that Taylor's assignments over Disney World are a class favorite. You can tell that it is something that she is very passionate about and enjoys relaying all of the Disney information possible to her peers. I personally love when she talks about Disney because it reminds me of my childhood, about my family back in Florida, and all of the ties we have through Disney. I have known Taylor since our freshman year and I am confident that one of the first things I learned about her was her passion for Disney World. I can easily say that Taylor is one to chase her dreams and I applaud her for that. When Taylor isn't talking about Disney, she is always pulling in different topics or
people that I have never heard of before so I am always learning something new. I really like how diverse her topics are and that they are not topics I am not used to seeing every day. Taylor's assignment number seven on social media over Lemon8 was one that caught my attention. This is just one example of bringing new research to the surface that I have never heard of. I was easily influenced by her writing that I went and downloaded the app to check it out for myself and was very pleased with the app. Overall, Taylor does a great job of staying true to her Disney theme while also delivering topics that her peers may not be familiar with.

Next, I will be talking about Haylee Hines. From the beginning, the first thing that caught my attention about Haylee's blog is her consistency from being to end and the unique style of her blog. You can tell that Haylee is well-educated on her topics by the way she presents them in class. I feel like she is someone that I could learn a lot from just by listening to her topics and taking very useful tips from her. While I was reading through Haylee's assignments, her writing style is very easy to follow and her voice is very clear. Her writing has so much personality and knowledge that it makes her work easy and enjoyable to read. My personal favorite assignment done by Haylee was number one over music. Music is a great way to express your personality through the genre of music you enjoy. Through this assignment, Haylee not only presents her knowledge and research about this artist but also brings light to a trending way that artists are becoming famous. Haylee explains that Queen Naija Bulls started her fame through her social media accounts after not winning on the show American Idol. Overall highlights that I have through Haylee's work are that she stays consistent with her work and she also works hard to produce high-quality content.

Taylor and Haylee are two peers that I have always enjoyed listening to throughout the semester. This is not to take away from any of my other classmates because they also produce great work, I just really enjoy their writing styles, the way they present their assignments, and the authenticity behind their work. These two are people I know I will always be able to learn from and that has taught me so much through each of the classes we have had together.
